U.S. House Select Committee on Economic Disparity and Fairness in Growth to Visit the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters in Boston

WASHINGTON – On Monday, October 3, 2022, at 10:00am ET, the U.S. House Select Committee on Economic Disparity and Fairness in Growth, chaired by Congressman Jim Himes (CT-04), will visit the headquarters of the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters (NASRCC) in Boston. This visit will begin at the NASRCC’s Training Center and Regional HQ in Dorchester where they will tour some of the training facilities, workshops, and classroom spaces. Members will conclude the Field Visit by participating in a roundtable discussion with NASRCC’s apprentices and instructors.

Throughout the visit, Select Committee Members will meet with apprentices benefitting from many of the NASRCC’s unique training initiatives and discuss how these programs have transformed their lives. Highlighted programs include Helmets to Hardhats, a national nonprofit program serving active-duty personnel, veterans, and reservists transitioning out of the military by providing pathways to training opportunities for high-quality careers in the construction industry.
