Hearing will Focus on the Impact of Infrastructure Investments in Expanding Economic Opportunities for All Americans

WASHINGTON – On Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 10:30am ET, Congressman Jim Himes (CT-04), Chairman of the U.S. House Select Committee on Economic Disparity and Fairness in Growth, will hold a hybrid hearing examining how infrastructure can be both a conduit and a barrier to inclusive economic growth. During this hearing, “Connecting Americans to Prosperity: How Infrastructure can Bolster Inclusive Economic Growth,” Select Committee Members will have the opportunity to discuss how infrastructure investment has historically yielded significant economic growth, how some past infrastructure policies have negatively impacted underserved and marginalized communities, as well as identify solutions and best practices to build smart 21st century infrastructure that will help  every American to reach their full economic potential.

In light of current guidance from CDC and OAP, media must comply with the Committee’s COVID guidelines, including by continuing to wear masks at all times, regardless of vaccination status.
